L’AIS (Associazione Italiana Shogi) è lieta di annunciare l’organizzazione del XX Campionato Italiano di Shogi.

L’edizione del 2023, ha avuto un inaspettato e particolare successo grazie alla presenza di giocatori stranieri che ci hanno permesso un confronto con altre realtà shoghistiche e la possibilità di apprendere e migliorare in un clima di reciproca disponibilità.

Questo è un anno particolare per lo Shogi. In Giappone ricorre il 100ario della nascita della prima associazione professionistica di Shogi (la Tokyo Shogi Renmei nel 1924, rinnovata nel 1947 nella Nihon Shogi Renmei, NSR).

Noi, con le dovute proporzioni, festeggiamo il 25° anno di attività dell’AIS. Nel 1999 si tenne il 1° campionato e nel nostro piccolo, ma con una certo orgoglio, siamo arrivati fino ad ora, per organizzarne il 20°!

Sempre nel 1999 si tenne la prima edizione dell’International Shogi Forum (ISF), evento organizzato dalla NSR, con cadenza triennale. L’Italia è sempre stata fra le nazioni invitate, e il Campionato Italiano l’occasione per selezionare il rappresentante italiano. Occasione che cade quest’anno: pertanto oltre al titolo di Campione Italiano 2024, il vincitore avrà l’occasione di poter staccare il biglietto per il prossimo ISF per rappresentare l’Italia!!!

The AIS (Italian Shogi Association) is pleased to announce the organisation of the 20th Italian Shogi Championships.

The 2023 edition was an unexpected and special success thanks to the presence of foreign players who allowed us to compare ourselves with other Shogi realities and the opportunity to learn and improve in an atmosphere of mutual willingness.

This is a special year for Shogi. In Japan it is the 100th anniversary of the birth of the first professional Shogi association (the Tokyo Shogi Renmei in 1924, renewed in 1947 into the Nihon Shogi Renmei, NSR).

We, with due proportion, celebrate the 25th year of the AIS. In 1999, the 1st championship was held and in our own small way, but with a certain pride, we have come so far to organise the 20th!

Also in 1999, the first edition of the International Shogi Forum (ISF), an event organised by the NSR, was held every three years. Italy has always been among the invited nations, and the Italian Championship was the occasion to select the Italian representative. An occasion that falls this year: therefore, in addition to the title of Italian Champion 2024, the winner will have the opportunity to be able to detach the ticket for the next ISF to represent Italy!!!
